It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it.
That’s how some view the work of bankruptcy lawyers, many of whom are expecting to clean up in 2007 if predictions about the dismal state of personal debt in America hold true.
Take attorney Arthur H. Rice, for example. His practice has expanded in size during the last five years with the addition of three partners, who now form Fort Lauderdale-based Rice, Pugatch, Robinson & Schiller PA. He anticipates this year will be as good as 2004, when the firm’s coffers swelled by $5 million.
“The practice is lucrative but because of the economy it has been cyclical,” Rice says.
